What Can I Expect From a Typical Treatment?
The first treatment usually lasts about an hour to an hour and half and includes the health history intake. I allow a generous amount of time for this because your entire life history is important in determining what has led to your current situation. There is plenty of time for discussion and questions.
After the initial consultation, you will lie on a comfortable massage style table. I will look at your tongue and check your pulse on both wrists. The information gathered from the health history as well as the pulse and tongue allow me to formulate a diagnosis to direct your treatment. Then needles will be placed, after which you will lie quietly on the table for 30-40 minutes. I will come back in to the room during the treatment to see how you are doing and to reassess your pulse and tongue.
After the treatment, it is normal to either feel tired or have increased energy. I will also discuss any questions or concerns you might have and will give you instructions or recommendations as needed. Follow up visits generally last about 45 minutes.
The duration of treatment and frequency of visits is determined on an individual basis.
